In the high desert of the Mojave, near Joshua Tree, a 1300 square foot residence will be built using the Blue Sky Building Systems bolted two-way moment frame. Clad in white corrugated steel and black metal panels, the building employs a dramatic cantilevered overhang on the south side to create shading from the intense desert heat. A pool and spa, walled in for privacy and to focus views on the striking distant mountain views, provide added relief from the extreme desert climate.
